I had a BLAST capturing Amanda & Steven's wedding. So many personal touches like they really wanted photos in the home they built, she wore her mothers wedding dress and had photos of them growing up all over their reception. They had a lovely home made dinner at their parents home before heading to the venue to say I do. And of course their adorable puppy Molly might have stolen the show for a little bit... but enough about what made me tear up..... here is their story
In the realm of modern romance, setups may seem like a thing of the past, but for Amanda and Steven, a chance encounter orchestrated by their closest friends set the stage for a love story that would unfold over the years. From a blind date to a picturesque proposal and a joyous wedding day, their journey has been filled with surprises, laughter, and a lot of love.
The Set-Up: Steven and Amanda's love story began when their friends decided to play matchmakers. Amanda's girlfriend had persistently suggested she meet her husband's friend, charmingly nicknamed "Scuba." After a few weeks of anticipation, Steven reached out with a text, revealing he had been out in the mountains sledding. Their exchange of messages led to a casual drink, and from the moment they met, the conversation flowed effortlessly, marking the promising beginning of their relationship.
Five Years and Counting: Fast forward to April 2024, and Steven and Amanda are about to celebrate their fifth anniversary. What started as a blind date has blossomed into a strong, enduring connection, proving that sometimes, the best relationships are the ones that sneak up on you when you least expect it.

His patience, even in the face of indecisiveness or repeated stories, highlights the depth of his care. On the other hand, Amanda's supportive nature and adventurous spirit make her the perfect partner for Steven. Her willingness to try new things, like snowmobiling in the mountains, adds an exciting dynamic to their relationship.
The Proposal in the Mountains: The pivotal moment in their journey unfolded during a road trip to Halcyon Hot Springs Resort in BC. After an adventurous snowmobiling excursion to Halfway There Hot Springs, surrounded by scenic beauty, Steven popped the question. The special moment, marked by a sign that read "There's no place like this place," became a cherished memory.
Fun Details and Wedding Highlights: The couple's love story is sprinkled with unique details, including a road trip honeymoon through the stunning landscapes of Jasper and Banff. Their wedding day was filled with special moments, from getting ready with loved ones to celebrating the culmination of meticulous planning with friends and family.

Advice for Brides: Reflecting on their own experience, Amanda and Steven offer simple yet profound advice for fellow brides: Be present in the moment, savor every second, and don't let the small things overshadow the beauty of the day. When things don't go as planned, embrace the unexpected and roll with it.
