Love me like you do

Elk Ridge resort is one of the most beautiful places in the province to host your wedding.

Dave and I had an absolute joy capturing Amanda and Jarin‘s wedding up at Elk Ridge resort. I usually capture a wedding up there every year since they opened. It truly is one of the most beautiful locations to get married. The morning was really relaxed and Amanda got ready with her close friends. She wanted to do a first look with her mom, there were a few beautiful tears and Amanda looked stunning in her dress.

The pond is the perfect location to have your ceremony. It’s very common to come across wildlife while you exchange your vows. Its a perfect setup and easy to decorate.

The ceremony was wonderful. The weather was perfect, their guests had a great time and they had one of the most perfect ceremony kisses I’ve seen in years.

The groomsmen rented a bike

As we started into photos with the bridal party, one of the groomsmen rented a bike from the resort. He had everyone laughing as he did fun tricks at really quick speeds. At one point he might have almost wrecked the bike in a competition with a golf cart. They were so much fun. The fellows even made the bridesmaids attempt a trust fall with the gals all sitting on a tree branch. Needless to say photos were a blast. Amanda and Jarin can’t take a bad photo. I love photographing them, the way they looked at each other all day, whispered sweet nothings to each other... it was magical.

The reception was stunning. The pavilion is a perfect location as you are surrounded by the woods. It was a perfect evening, the speeches even made me cry they were so sweet. The dance kicked off with a beautiful first dance, followed by the father daughter & mother son dances. Dave and I took the couple outside for a few shots at sunset. they have some of the most beautiful locations available at sunset. And of course I just had to play with light and my giant veil.
