Mylene & Chris's wedding was absolutely incredible. This year has been full of elopements and smaller weddings. They bought a house on a lake in Craik, the perfect backdrop for their wedding. Pelican's relaxing on the lake, dark moody skies off in the distance. They stood in front of the water and shared vows they wrote to each other. Their neighbors might have snuck out onto their porches and watched their ceremony and of course gave a big cheer when then shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Like most elopements I capture, myself and their chef signed the wedding documents and off we went to take photos.
Mylene had a couple of requests for photos, one was with their pets, their cat has traveled the world with them, and their brand new samoyed puppy. That adorable ball of fluff wasn't camera sky at all, I could have taken photos of their puppy all day. I loved the chemistry between the two of them, you can tell how madly in love they are. There was a really cute dock I wanted to take them down to to really capture the water and lake vibes, they were game for any where we took photos. The beautiful rolling hills made for a perfect backdrop.
There is a sweet golf course near that is very pretty, with a gazebo over looking the course. We even popped a couple of a confetti poppers for a few fun shots.
We headed back to their home to share a meal together. It's the first time I have ever had carpaccio and lamb. Both were amazing as they were prepared by their chef. I'll be honest i'm a well done steak kind of gal, so eating carpaccio scared me a little, but to my surprise it was delicious! It was so kind of them to share a meal with us, and just have some casual time together. They cut their cake and we shared to together. Their wedding as short and sweet but one of my favorites of the year, I love inmate small weddings.
