Kelsey and Max's Wedding was beyond gorgeous. Kelsey is a interior designer so you know she has an amazing eye for detail. We were so worried with all the numbers rising in the province and a announcement just days before that they weren't going to be able to have there wedding. But luck was totally on our side. I know we were all stressed the week leading up the wedding, but I am so grateful nothing really changed.
Kelsey got ready at the Bess downtown, while Juli captured the guys at their home. One of Kelsey's bridesmaids ( who is an amazing friend I might add) sadly couldn't fly from New Zealand to be there for their wedding. But like I said before.. she's pretty cool and she facetimed while Kelsey got her hair and makeup done. I am in love with all her wedding details. If you haven't heard of Olive & Piper, they seriously make some of the most STUNNING bridal jewelry... I should know.. I purchased them for my wedding as well. Her dress looked incredible on her!!! Once she put it on, she was glowing and had a smile ear to ear.
Kelsey and Max wanted to do a first look, and there is no better place then the stairs in the delta. Max was just overcome with joy when he saw her. Before the bridal party joined us, we took some stunning Old Hollywood vibe portraits of just the two of them. I LOVE how much they light up when they snuggle in close and just whisper " your beautiful or handsome" to each other. We had such a great time laughing and joking once the bridal party joined in. I always like to play a couple of games with everyone so they loosen up and look natural in photos. This crew was up for anything and we know they had a blast.
The Ceremony & Reception were held at the Glen at Crossmount. If you have never been I highly recommend checking them out. The ceremony was surrounded by candles and a rug for the couple to stand on. They smiled and had their focus on each other the whole ceremony. It was so easy to see how much they love each other and the excitement of finally becoming husbands and wife. Following the ceremony we moved over to the reception area. Guests enjoyed the couples favorite cocktail drink as they entered. the Glen served up the most delicious meal and desert, honestly I'm still thinking about that cheesecake in a jar. Remember that amazing friend I mentioned earlier? Well she prepared a beautiful song and video for Kelsey all the way from new zealand, seriously everyone was crying. They still got to share their first dance together which was so lovely as they took some ballroom lessons before the wedding. I love when couples dance together and just get lost in each others eyes. Juli & I had a blast capturing this wedding.
And In Kelsey's own words, if you want to read the honest truth about planning a wedding with the current restrictions, here is a plug for her awesome blog..
