WDM North Battleford- Lovestruck portraits

Bobbi & Randy's wedding was such a perfect day. I loved how laid back and relaxed they were all day. Bobbi had a vision of getting married at the gazebo at the WDM and taking photos at the dental office afterwards since she works in the industry. Their ceremony was filled with emotion and a small hiccup. They had planned a sand ceremony, but forgot the sand inside, so there was a little pause while one of the guests ran inside to get the sand. I had a blast capturing their family and wedding party after the ceremony. They were all so relaxed but really liked playing my awesome games during photos. The reception had a nemo theme since their first date was going to see finding nemo. I might have cried a little bit during the reception. Randy was given a custom hard hat with their kids names on it. It was soooo touching and one of the most thoughtful wedding gifts I've ever seen. His family will always be with him while he's on the road. We snuck out to capture some sunset photos or just the two of them, the sky was so pretty it looked like cotton candy.

But enough from me, let's hear their story :)

We met online “Plenty OF Fish”

10.5 years we have been together. I love when we go for supper and then watch a movie or we go to the casino and play together! Randy has a heart of gold, he is always willing to help out others, his family and kids are his number one and wants to make sure we have everything we need.

Bobbi is an amazing mother to our kids and always willing to help with anything that anyone needs. She has a beautiful smile and a big heart and I’m glad I get to spend the rest of my life with her!! She is just amazing in every which way! And my favourite is her butt I tell her that everyday♥️😊

How did your Fiancé pop the question? We went to my favourite place Gimli, Manitoba (where he is from), we go every year for Icelandic Days and we watched the fireworks and then went for our family walk on the pier and I made a joke at him “look jackass that couple just got engaged” as we walked past them and then he turned around and got on 1 knee and asked me to marry him and I said “no,no,no” as it was the most beautiful ring ever and it was the 1 I dreamed about daily.

Any other fun details about your love story? Our first date was finding nemo. The way Randy asked me to hold my hand was, “will you hold my fin?” We have a puzzle of nemo in a picture frame with the movie ticket from our first date in our house.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day? That I FINALLY got to marry my best friend after 2 years waiting because of COVID and I got to be married at the WDM where I’ve always wanted to get married.

Did you go on a honeymoon? No, we canceled it to go back to Manitoba and watch our youngest Ukrainian Dance in a couple weeks.

How did you feel on your wedding day? I was so nervous, but so excited that the day FINALLY came and all our friends and family were there to join us!

Any advice for fellow brides out there? Have fun with it, don’t be scared to ask for help with stuff! Be creative, don’t worry about what everyone else wants this day is about YOU!
